It's easy to set resolutions, but even easier to forget them. So how can we make this different from any previous year?
Just be about it! (Said playfully, but still quite seriously ;))
There's the intention, resolution, goal, or whatever you want to call it, but more importantly, there is the ACTION. "When the time is on you, act and the pressure will be off" is one of the 5 Sutras of the Aquarian Age given by Yogi Bajan (https://www.3ho.org/3ho-lifestyle/5-sutras-aquarian-age).
What can I do in this very moment to work towards something that is going to help me achieve whatever it is I want to accomplish? And whatever it is, just friggin' do it! Start with setting long term goals, then break them down into monthly, weekly, then daily goals. No excuses, just do it.
As cliche as this may sound, we don't have to feel like we are alone. I find such joy when surrounded by people with similar goals and passions. Seek support and love from the people you cherish. Share a cup of tea, listen to music, share stories, whether its in the comfort of your home or your favorite gathering place. Do what makes you happy with the people you love.
Commit to a daily practice.
Choose something and commit to it for at least 3 minutes and as the days go on, increase the minutes. It can be meditation, yoga, walking, dancing, whatever it is, let it be something you enjoy. Hold yourself accountable by scheduling it in your calendar if you must. Then, observe the before and after feeling. Don't beat yourself up if you skip a day, just start again.
So in case you are interested in our goal, here it is. Create a Wellness Center...Purple Lotus Medical Massage and Wellness. This is a space where we incorporate massage, yoga, meditation, dance, therapy, gatherings and whatever else it takes to create a sense of wellness, harmony, and peace in the lives of the people in our community. This is our passion, our joy, our love, and this is how we want to share ourselves with the world.
So 2016, get ready 'cause it's about to go down!
