During my time studying Thai Massage in Chiang Mai in 2013, I met a beautiful Greek beauty and massage therapist, Irene Herodotou, who would volunteer assisting students in class. Massage school was an eclectic blend of travelers from all over the world who would hang out and study at our local guesthouses, so I would see Irene at the weekly gathering and parties. Eventually I continued my travels, but then returned to Chiang Mai almost 2 years later where I randomly cross paths with her. It was as if we never left.
After catching up, she mentions this special face massage modality, SETAO, (Set meaning 7 in French, and Ao meaning up) she created and has been seeing incredible results. My mom, who was visiting me in Thailand at that time, booked a session with her and immediately sees and feels a difference in her face. She felt her eyebrows and contour lifted, and went into a deep state of relaxation. I jumped on the bandwagon and after experiencing her magic, my first question is, "Can you please teach me how you do this?! Please?!" Soon after, I became her student and am so blessed to have completed her training for SETAO, a face lifting and rejuvenating massage, which addresses the face, neck, and décolletage.
My favorite elements of SETAO is that it is all natural, non-invasive, extremely relaxing and uses organic coconut oil, or whatever natural plant oil you prefer.

"I've received facials and massages from dozens of professional therapists from several 5 star European resorts, and this is by far my favorite face massage modality. The techniques are so creative and leave my face feeling vibrant."

I was in Thailand a few years ago and had my first facial massage. I loved it! It was like receiving a natural mini facelift. The only problem was that I could not continue the sessions because I was going home. I knew of no one who did a Sateo massage in Los Angeles. I was thrilled to find that Marisa was personally trained by the woman in Thailand who gave me my treatment. Marisa's fingers are like little erases. They tap out (at least for a few days) the fine lines around my lips and eyes. She puts on soft music and set up the room for total calm and comfort. As she was massaging I was slowly drifting away in a blissful sleep. My skin felt soft and smooth and I could feel the small muscles in my face tighten up. I love the results!
