In 2009 when I did my 9 month Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, one of the requirements was to do 5 mornings of sadhana which I enjoyed but did not return to considering it starts at 4:15am and goes until 6:30am. Every new year, the Awareness Center, my Kundalini Yoga Studio/Spiritual Home in Pasadena, offers a 40-day challenge which I have never felt inspired to do until this year. At our full day retreat on 1/11/2020, I was calling in more self-discipline and self-discipline is what I am definitely receiving. The benefits have been so incredibly astounding! I am finding that since I have started, magical things have been happening from getting Japanese and Canadian press at our weekly www.GanjaYoga.la events to unveiling subconscious wounding around certain relationships in my life. Even though waking up at 3:33am for this 4:15am practice is a challenge, I find that it is well worth every minute of missed sleep. Having a consistent meditation practice has been so instrumental in becoming less reactive and more present in conversations. I start my day of feeling fulfilled. According the the 3HO.org website, "This sadhana prepares our psyches to excel in the new environments and coming decades." What is the Aquarian Sadhana? This morning practice which consists of the following: Listening to the Japji, a Sikh prayer to balance all aspects of our being and to connect to our soul.
